Phi-Phenomena On Wheels Tour - 9/13

Phi-Phenomena is an annual music festival started in 1996 featuring 10 artists performing in one hour, each giving a 5-minute set with 1-minute intermissions. Though many Phi performers have been from the experimental/noise scene, the music played has also included pop, free jazz, electronica and folk.

In September 2001 the first Phi tour occured in the Northeast and Midwest, consisting of more than 2 dozen players comprising 10 acts and travelling in 4 vehicles, including an RV.

In conjunction with the tour, a “Phi-Phenomena” compilation CD was released, featuring many artists who have played at least one Phi event. Labels participating in this release were: Breathmint, Carbon, Freedom From, Ignivomous, Servus, SunShip, and Yelpco.

A 10th Anniversary Phi tour is scheduled for September 2011. Performers at the Cleveland show include Laundry Room Squelchers, Cock E.S.P., FUN, Naomi Elizabeth, Rexor, U Can Unlearn Guitar. $5
